Popular Photography Closes Doors

Hi All,

For those who have heard and those who haven't, Popular Photography Magazine is done.  I have supported that rag for very many years. It is sad that they are disappearing (even though the recent editor was terrible). However, this is also about how the Magazine is going out with out respect for their long time readers. Just Mid-February I paid PPM for a 3 YEAR subscription. I received one issue and then a notice that they were going out of business. What is sad is that they willingly took my money when they had to know that they were going out of business at the time I sent my money. Not a very graceful way out of business.

So, this notice is to, of course, let you know NOT to buy a subscription! There are still websites out there selling them. For example, Publisher's Clearing House is still listing it as for sale.

I remember many years ago, Popular Photography Magazine had real integrity. Unfortunately it was lost over the decades. I have watched some big changes in photography. I remember when it was a struggle just to get photography to be recognized as an "Art Form"! It's still so today. That's why I have dedicated my life to creating photographic Art Work that I believe is represented in every image I show. Unfortunately, this just isn't typically the case in the world of Photography anymore.

Mike Just Say NOJust Say NOPopular Photography closed doors. Don't by subscription or you will loose your money.

Their behavior reminds me of how some gyms sell memberships up until the minute before they close their doors. Deplorable.

Wow - sorry to hear they've become so unethical. Thanks for the warning!
