Not usually a B&W enthusiast, I still like the B&W of this shot better. I actually feel it shows more emotion in B&W than in color. It has a certain poignancy to me...deeply touching...the entire shot.
Having seen the B&W first, the color shot then instantly looked too busy, showed the grit, etc. of the scene more which took me away from any feelings at all for it.
