American Oystercatcher
A foggy day on Shell Island. Fog spread across the ocean. The fog helped bring out the colors and shape of the bird. Yes, I could have Photo Shopped the tracking tags for a more natural look, but I felt the tags added another dimension and story to the bird. Apparently many American Oystercrackers are tagged which makes me wonder why there is such interest. Finally, I have never seen a picture of this bird with a perfect water drop at his beak tip.
